David Brown leads a series of seminars and workshops on working with light. These are directed towards industry professionals—architects, designers, electricians, contractors. David covers a range of topics including designing, specifying, fitting, controlling and operating lighting for both residential and commercial properties. This workshop addressed lighting for the residential market. David outlined the implications of working with light, illustrating how it is a fundamental component of a design. He went through methods of how to obtain a lighting brief from a client, and how to achieve those objectives, using architectural lighting, setting a scene and creating moods and drama in a home.

Recently installed in Edinburgh Harvey Nichols, David Brown’s tailored design on a Christmas Tree was stopping shoppers in their tracks. A stunning construction of swarvowski crystal and polished chrome, the tree was auctioned to raise funds for “Save the Children” charity.
